AmatsuThe Amatsu Training School in Hertfordshire was established in 2005 by Jane Langston, specialising in the training of Amatsu Practitioners.  What’s that, you ask?  Amatsu is an amazing complementary therapy that uses diagnostic tools from a wide range of disciplines including muscle testing and orthopaedic testing to understand and explain the body’s natural movement principles.  During a treatment the therapist will assess specific dysfunctions and the most effective way to restore balance back to the whole body with minimum intervention. This is possible because of the application of natural body movement, Taijutsu, which is one of the things that makes Amatsu unique.  Taijutsu or natural body movement (as it translates from Japanese) is used by the practitioner to induce movement in the client which then facilitates a deeper level of integrated, whole body correction.  Its definitely more than just a massage!

Our teaching team of Jane Langston and Taz Faruqi have a combined teaching experience of 20 years, and have clinical experience of more than 30 years. They are helped by their trainee teacher Gina Croft who is a whizz at admin too. Together they have written outstanding training modules which are enhanced by video clips of all techniques – no excuse to forget what was demonstrated in class!

The training requires dedication, as it takes two years to complete, and there are over 40 in-class training days and two years of distance learning to supplement the classroom. Our classes are full of information, both theoretical and practical, and are above all, fun!  Our students come from all walks of life and are all ages, which means we have to teach in a variety of styles to suit the needs of the learners. The highlight of the two years is the final revision weekend, which is a residential weekend of non-stop learning.

We have prided ourselves in teaching to the highest standard, receiving the Institute for Complementary and Natural Medicine’s award for Best Complementary Medicine Company in 2012.

The sister company, The Amatsu Clinic Rickmansworth, is where Jane, Taz and Gina work in their clinical practice, offering quality treatments to the south east of England.

We are delighted to be nominated in no less than 4 categories in the What’s On 4 Me Awards –

“Best Skill or Academic Learning Provider” or “Most Inspirational Instructor or Tutor” for The Amatsu Training School Ltd and

“Best Beauty, Lifestyle or Wellbeing Service” and “Best relaxation Provider” for The Amatsu Clinic Rickmansworth.
